Meet Tony

Growing up in North Dakota, I learned the value of a hard day’s work, and that anything worth doing is worth doing well. I initially attended the University of North Dakota for aviation but I found my love for excel spreadsheets and promotions while studying entrepreneurship and marketing with some amazing professors. I stand apart from others in that my formal education taught me to immerse myself in my clients’ business to identify opportunities and threats from an owner’s perspective. I’ve also been called-in as “the pitchman” because I can communicate and relate in ways that others fall short. Real life, Real talk, Real strategy.

After graduating from UND with my BBA I have been learning daily while educating, consulting, and training business owners and sellers in the art of advertising. First as a seller at the Anchorage Daily News, then at KTUU Channel 2 as the digital sales manager, then director of sales. Every day I worked with media professionals and business owners that needed “that one creative idea” make their campaigns a success. I did this with multiple industries per day, every day, for years. After becoming a manager of others, the diversity of marketing problems and my ability to solve them grew. I’ve managed millions of dollars in multichannel ad spend in Alaska and the lower 48 from the biggest corporations to the smallest of non-profits. I’ve done it all, I’ve seen it all.

I have built a reputation of creativity, knowledge, and integrity among Alaska’s most successful and influential business owners and brand managers. I plan to continue to earn that reputation each and every day for Hickory Handle clients.

I’m a straight forward no BS guy. I play hockey, I’m an avid archer (struggle stick only), and I like getting muddy on the trails on the way to the blueberry spot with the family. I’ve been known to make some decent shots on pheasants and four-legged game, and I believe that a cross country flight in a little airplane or 5 days at moose camp is the best mental therapy money can buy.

If you think I would make a good addition to your team, we should have a coffee and talk about it. I’d love to hear from you.
